Westerveld Cemetery & Crematorium (Duin en Kruidbergerweg 2-6, in Driehuis) is holding an Open Day on 10th September between 10.30am and 3.30pm. Everyone will be welcome to come and familiarise themselves with the extensive services and options offered by the memorial park. During the Open Day, Westerveld will play host also to the national jury day for the International Funeral Awards (IFA).Each year, the IFA awards prizes for the most innovative initiatives within the funeral industry. The combination of an Open Day and a jury day presents an excellent opportunity for visitors to receive information on the wide range of possibilities offered by Westerveld, as well as to be introduced to striking developments.
Burial or cremation
This is probably not a decision that you ponder over on a daily basis.Still, it is good to know what the possibilities are in order to organise a proper funeral. Not only does this relate to the numerous formats for the ceremony, but also to the choice of auditorium, music, final destination of the ashes, memorials and, after the ceremony, the numerous possibilities for the condolence. Westerveld is happy to answer any queries you may have.
During the Open Day, visitors will be able to visit almost all areas of the Cemetery & Crematorium. There will be extensive guided tours during which staff will provide information and answer any questions.Visits to the splendid Monument Garden are also possible, combined with a demonstration on the ‘burial’ process.
International Funeral Awards
On 10 September, a large number of striking initiatives for the funeral industry will be presented, not only to the expert jury of the IFA - an independent, international organisation of professionals within the funeral sector - but also to the visitors of the Open Day. During the Open Day, participants with the most extraordinary services or products will be nominated for a Funeral Award.
