At a cremation visitors meet in a reception room at the entrance to Westerveld. This room has a separate family anteroom, a room for guests and other next of kin and a viewing room for paying your last respects to the deceased.
From the reception room, guests take a short walk to the crematorium. Umbrellas are of course provided for inclement weather and transport is easily organised for those with walking difficulties.
A cremation is preceded by a ceremony with music – either pre-recorded or live – and a word of commemoration. You may arrange and conduct your own ceremony as you wish. There is scope for religion, culture, (live) music, dance and for showing photos or videos. This means you can give a very personal slant to the ceremony. We would be delighted to answer your questions concerning the many options.
The crematorium has two auditoriums for ceremonies.
